Pest pressure isn’t constant. Weather shifts, seasons change, and the conditions around a home can surface entirely different activity throughout the year—which means a fixed, one-size treatment approach will almost always leave gaps.
Our treatment plans are built to respond to what’s actually happening around your property. That starts with addressing existing activity before sealing pests out—not the other way around.
Here’s how we build seasonal plans around the conditions at each property.
Why We Start With a Flush Out, Not a Seal
Putting a repellent barrier in place sounds straightforward, but timing matters. If pest activity is already inside, underneath, or close to a home, sealing too soon traps that activity with nowhere to go.
Our initial service is designed as a flush out—drawing activity away from the structure before we move into the sealing phase. As our team puts it, “You want to lock bugs out, that’s great, but if you do it too early, you lock anything that’s been inside.”
About 30 to 45 days after the initial service, we return for the first quarterly seal up, shifting toward strong exterior repellents that build a barrier once activity has been cleared away from the home.
How Seasonal Conditions Shape Each Visit
A quarterly schedule provides a reliable rhythm for most homes, but the products and mixtures we use aren’t locked into one formula. As the video notes, “Different season, bring different bugs.” Wet, dry, or windy conditions can shift the approach as well, so we adjust our treatment to whatever is happening around your property at the time of each visit.
Homes near fields, bodies of water, or areas with more wildlife may benefit from more frequent service. Factors we consider include:
- Seasonal pest activity
- Wet, dry, or windy weather
- Nearby fields, water, and wildlife areas
- The level of activity around the home
What Happens Between Scheduled Visits
A treatment plan should account for what happens between appointments. If an issue comes up before your next scheduled visit, our TriGuard Guarantee includes a return service at no additional cost—so you can let us know when something changes instead of waiting out the quarter.
If you have questions about the right service schedule for your home, reach out to TriGuard Pest Control at (208) 565-2416. We’ll talk through the conditions around your property and find the right fit.
